Industrial prospectingIreland-focused research

Who we help

Built for suppliers selling into industrial markets.

DemandRange helps suppliers of industrial equipment, technology and services define and research relevant businesses. Ireland is the current focus; every brief needs its own territory, account criteria and exclusions.

A company can fit your market without a new project. Project and development signals add context where evidenced; they do not establish equipment demand.

01 / sectors

Use the sector as a starting point, not the acceptance test.

These are scoping questions, not a claim of complete coverage or technical suitability.

Food and beverage

Which production businesses and activities belong in the brief? Distinguish manufacturers from distributors, retailers and hospitality businesses.

Pharma and life sciences

Which facility types and company activities matter to your range? State the technical requirements that need specialist confirmation.

Water, energy and utilities

Is the intended account an operator, an engineering business or a contractor? Keep account relevance separate from any project or procurement status.

Chemicals and process industries

Which process activities fit—and which applications or materials must be excluded or left for technical review?

Manufacturing and engineering

Do you sell to end users, machine builders or both? Set the company characteristics and site-level detail needed.

Construction and project delivery

Which contractors, integrators or engineering businesses are relevant routes? A project appointment alone does not establish control of an equipment package.

02 / routes

Specify the account route—not a promised contact.

For a product-specific brief, see prospect research for pump and flow-control suppliers.

  • Operators: businesses operating the facilities or assets covered by the brief.
  • OEMs: manufacturers whose product or equipment scope may be relevant.
  • Integrators: businesses whose work may connect systems or equipment.
  • Contractors and engineering businesses: potential routes where their actual role is evidenced.

The same company can have more than one role. Confirm its activity and relationship to the relevant site or project rather than assuming purchasing authority. Role-level context is not a promise of named contacts, direct dials or buyer access.

03 / fit

Write down what should be excluded.

A useful scope can exclude residential-only activity, irrelevant distribution models, territories outside your remit, existing accounts or channel conflicts. These are brief-specific choices, not universal judgments about those businesses.

Our fictional sample accepts a manufacturer against one written profile and rejects a retailer against the same profile. It shows why a shared product word is not enough.

04 / Written scope

Scope your market before counting accounts.

Bring your product or service range, target activities, territory and account exclusions. Company-level research is the default; named-contact work remains a separate scope. Global region selections on the quote form are preferences for assessment, not a coverage commitment.
